Mount Yunam (6111m), located in Spiti Valley, is a perfect 6000er for trekkers seeking their first high-altitude summit without technical gear or mountaineering courses. It’s a quieter alternative to Kang Yatse II, offering scenic views of Suraj Tal, Deepak Tal, Baralacha La, and Bhaga River. The climb involves snow, moraine, and rocky terrain, ending with stunning summit views of the CB, Mulkilla, and Zanskar ranges. Best suited for fit trekkers with experience above 4000m.

ITIEANARY

  • Day 1: Arrive in Manali.

  • Day 2: Drive to Jispa (3,200m) – acclimatize

  • Day 3: Rest + Acclimatization hike around Jispa.

  • Day 4: Drive to Bharatpur – short hike to Yunam Base Camp (~4,900m).

  • Day 5: Drive to bharatpur and acclimatization Hike.

  • Day 6: Move to 5300 Base camp.

  • Day 7: Summit Attempt (6,110m) – early morning start, back to Base.

  • Day 8: Buffer Day (for weather/acclimatization).

  • Day 9: Return to keylong.

  • Day 10: back to Manali Trip ends / Departure.

Respiratory Rate: 12–20 breaths/min

Medical Conditions:

BMI should be in normal range – consult if unsure
